Coakley & Williams Hotel Management Company History
With roots in the construction industry dating back to 1926, Coakley & Williams entered a new and prosperous era in 1971 with the development and construction of its first hotel, a Ramada Inn in Lanham, Maryland. As operations thrived, we began pursuing hotel management contracts in 1987 and would go on to develop, build, own, and operate an expansive group of properties.
Becoming intimately familiar with the workings of independent hotels as well as experienced with the franchise business model, Coakley & Williams garnered numerous hospitality partners including Hilton, Crowne Plaza, Radisson and Four Points. We have demonstrated our expertise not only with a variety of hotels but franchise restaurants, gift shops, attractions and banquet facilities as well.
After 27 years of involvement in all phases of the company, Gary Williams purchased the Hotel Division of Coakley & Williams, Inc. in 1996 and became the sole stockholder and President of Coakley & Williams Hotel Management Company.
Today, Coakley & Williams, is a national company with an impressive portfolio of 30 hotels and 1 franchise restaurant with a client list that includes both individual owners and corporations alike.
